Who is Ernie in Township?

Ernie is the main in-game character and the permanent in-game friend in Township. He introduces himself at Level 1, as the mayor of another township. He briefly explains how the crops are sown and harvested, how to build factories and queue up products, and how the trains and the helipad work.
